Red bell pepper & tomato chutney

Bell pepper and tomato mixed together will be a good accompaniment with tortilla chips. It goes well with  idli or dosa. All the red ingredients give a nice color. If you are using as a dip, there is no need to season it. For side dish season with mustard seeds and urad dal.

Ingredients:
  • Red bell pepper - 1
  • Tomato - 1  
  • Red chilly - 4
  • Garlic - 2 pods
  • Salt - as per taste

Method:

Cut tomatoes and bell peppers into cubes. In a tsp of oil, fry the red chilly, garlic and keep aside. In the same oil add bell peppers and saute for 2 to 3 mins, add tomatoes and keep stirring once in a while till it cooks. After it cools down grind all the ingredients with salt. If needed, season with mustard seeds and urad dal.
